What you can report

Tell us if you see or suspect a breach of the law or of our Code of Conduct in our business or in our supply chain. For example:

  • Bribery, corruption, fraud or a conflict of interest.
  • Unsafe work or unsafe conditions on one of our sites.
  • Forced or child labour, unfair pay or working conditions, discrimination or harassment.
  • Pollution, environmental damage or work without the required permits.
  • Breaches of sanctions, money laundering or falsified data.
  • Retaliation against someone who raised a concern.

Who can report

Anyone. Our employees and the people who work on our projects through a contractor, our suppliers and their own suppliers and subcontractors, our clients, the neighbours of our plants and local communities.

How to report

Email
compliance@easenergy.eu
Post
EASENERGY Zrt., 1054 Budapest, Szabadság tér 7., Hungary, with the envelope marked “Confidential”
In person
By appointment with either founder
Language
Hungarian or English

You do not have to give your name. We accept anonymous reports and look into them as far as the information allows. If you would like an answer, leave us a way to reach you.

If your concern involves one of our two founders, write directly to the other: Bence Molnár at bmolnar@easenergy.eu or Dávid Novák at dnovak@easenergy.eu. The person concerned takes no part in handling it.

What happens next

  • We confirm receipt within 7 days, where you have left a way to reach you.
  • We look into the report and tell you the outcome within 30 days. Complex cases can take longer; we will tell you so, and it will never be more than 3 months.
  • Where a concern is confirmed, we act on it: we stop the conduct, put right the harm we caused or contributed to, and take disciplinary or contractual measures.

Your protection

  • Your identity is shared only with the people who need it to handle your report, unless the law requires otherwise.
  • No one who reports in good faith will suffer retaliation, even if the concern proves unfounded. Retaliation is itself a breach of our Code of Conduct.
  • Knowingly false reports are not protected.

Your personal data

We use the personal data in a report, including data about the people it names, only to handle the report. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in detecting and stopping breaches of the law and of our Code of Conduct, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. Only the people handling the report see it, and we delete the data once the case and any proceedings that follow from it are closed.

Your rights and how to complain to the data protection authority are set out in our privacy notice.

Other routes

You can also turn to the competent authorities at any time. Our Code of Conduct and our Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy are available on request at compliance@easenergy.eu.
